**Automattic Inc** is a web company that makes [WordPress.com](http://wordpress.com/), [Akismet](http://akismet.com/), [Crowdsignal](https://crowdsignal.com/), and [many more](https://automattic.com/) online services.

If you’ve noticed a charge on your credit card or PayPal account from **Automattic Inc** or **WordPress.com**, it’s for one of the following:

- A [WordPress.com](http://wordpress.com/) upgrade such as domain registration, domain mapping or the space upgrade;
- A subscription to the [Akismet](http://akismet.com/) web spam filtering service;
- A [Crowdsignal](https://crowdsignal.com/) Pro or Corporate Account

If those names aren’t familiar, it’s likely someone else at your office or a family member has purchased one of our services.
